Everyone has someone to look up to. Everyone has a father, a teacher, a coach, a mentor. You will learn from these people to then formalize your very own success. Consider these people your masters. Never outshine them, make your master outshine everybody else as a way to thank them for helping you get where you are today.

What does this have to do with increasing your search engine rankings? Well, if what you write or post in your website follows a guidance from a master of yours, and it is giving you some success, then you ought to be thankful. Not only, will no one bad talk you, but it will help build your reputation online. You will last on the internet.  You will grow and never look back.  

Mention your masters’ name, tell a story about them on how their guidance helped you get where you got. People will appreciate your honesty and will respect you more.

For example, everything I write about on this website or through the products I offer, comes from what I learned from my masters. I recommend my masters’ products that I use because it helped me achieve my success. You will naturally see this as I tell my story. That is not necessarily bad.

It is very normal to learn something from someone, to do as they say, and to then share your experience with the world, which is what I am doing now. That is my relationship with my masters here on the internet. 

Look at the late Kobe Bryant for example. I remember in an interview he gave long ago when he was asked and practically was told that he could beat Michael Jordan 1-on-1 game, and his response was classic as it mirrors exactly what I say to never outshine your master.

That is how Kobe Bryant applied to never outshining his master, and the result? He became a basketball hall of famer himself. Nobody can ever take that away from him.

Why This Strategy Is Fundamental To Achieving High SEO Rankings

As you share your story about your relationship with your master that you will never outshine, you will start to notice a rise in your search engine rankings. Why? Because you ought to talk all about it on your website, on other people’s websites, and on the social media networks.

You should interlink all information you scatter across the internet back to your main source (your website) as this will increase the popularity of your website. Believe it or not, as you produce this type of information on the internet, it is all going to be quality content naturally - a real kicker on boosting your search engine rankings.  

It is going to be content that nobody else has because it is totally unique to you. It is about you and your relationship with your masters and mentors. Don’t ever try to look better than your master. Just give him or her the credits they deserve.

While you do all this, keep focus, and never move away from your Most Wanted Response (MWR) obviously.

Tell your story but stay on target, all the time, so that you achieve your very own goals. Everybody says it, but I will say it here too, keep your web presence focused on your niche, which should be, directly related to your MWR anyways.

Here is what can happen for someone who has a hair salon: 

• Your MWR could be to get people to make appointments to your hair salon.
• You should publish hair salon related material on your website.
• You should publish hair salon related material on your social media networks.
• You should publish hair salon related material on other websites (blogs, directories etc.) that are in the same niche as yours.      

In the various publications you create as per the above bullet points, things will come out that you naturally received from your master. It will be seen throughout your content and; thus, is when you should be careful not to outshine, embarrass or try to look better than your master.

They became your master for a reason and anyone who has established themselves as an authority in a particular field, will want to feel secure in their positions as the center of attention to everybody else.

Don’ be a fool to think that by showing off your gifts and skills, it will win your master’s affection. If for any reason, your master feels unsecure about you, they will abolish you in any way, shape or form they can. If this happens, what was the point of you trying to rise above them?

You will just lose credibility and all of a sudden people will start bad-mouthing you all over the place, and in the internet...

It is very easy for someone to lose credibility very quickly.

If this happens to you, your business will be gone, your website taken down, and no high search engine rankings for sure. 

Hence, put yourself in your place, and never outshine your master. Build your web presence by smartly using your master as an example of how you got to where you are.
