This SEO webpage checklist shows you what to focus on your webpage to ensure it is in its best shape to perform well in the search engine rankings.
Whatever you do, think of this SEO webpage checklist as sufficient information that you are providing to the search engines so that they understand that your webpage is about a particular topic. For example...
“jordan shoes with black jeans” and NOT “zigtech basketball shoes”
As you can see, both subjects involve basketball shoes but they are both distinct and different subjects.
As you go through this SEO webpage checklist, it is also important to keep in mind that the recommendations/suggestions, I am about to give is based upon the Analyze It! Tool that I use.
As a human being you should always consider your human judgement when deciding on how or what you want to write about in a particular webpage. After all, a tool or a computer program cannot “think” like you can.
As you are placing content on your webpage for SEO, first think of the people who will land on the webpage. The information must be clear and not sound so robotic that it does not make any sense. A checklist is a checklist, but unless these recommendations, I lay here, make sense to human eyes reading your webpage, they will leave your website, run real fast, and never come back.
Every SEO webpage checklist should consider these 5 elements:
Filename
If your webpage is dedicated to “jordan shoes with black jeans”, then the SEO webpage checklist requires that you include that keyword in the filename. For this case, the file name for this webpage is ”jordan-shoes-with-black-jeans.html”
Page Title
The same goes with the webpage title. The SEO webpage checklist evokes you to include these keywords in the title. So for this example, we will title the webpage as “Jordan Shoes with Black Jeans - How To Wear Them Together”
Keyword
Since the wepage is really about “jordan shoes with black jeans”, it only makes sense that the SEO webpage checklist for this one, must include just those words exactly - “jordan shoes with black jeans”
Description
When you google for a particular keyword, the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs) will give you a list, for which if your webpage shows in the results, it will come up with something like this:
As you can see, it shows the title and description for your webpage. It is a fundamental part of the SEO webpage checklist to have that keyword (“jordan shoes with black jeans) that you want to rank for on the search engines (i.e. Google) in both the Title and Description.
As a matter of fact that keyword needs to show on the File Name, Page Title, Keyword, Description sections of your webpage. This is critical as you run down your SEO webpage checklist. When I use the SBI Tool, this is easily shown to me on a screen before I publish my webpages to the internet. I can review and correct anything so that they are ranked high on Google…
Page Content
This is where the meat of your webpage goes. This is where you write stuff on your webpage as you need it to be for your human visitors. Your page content consists of the following elements that you need to focus on as part of your SEO webpage checklist:
The headline text should strive to contain the exact same KEYWORD without any spelling mistakes as you entered it above on the keyword field unless of course the wording will just not make sense.
In the body of the webpage, you will have text and possibly images and/or videos. Whatever you do in any of these parts always try to mingle the KEYWORD wherever it makes sense, but don't overdo it.
It is important that in the first 2 paragraphs of your body text you include the keyword. However, as previously said, always keeping in mind the human factor as this is just a SEO webpage checklist to assist you. Your brain and thinking must always overwrite computer programming because they can't think.
When adding an image, photo, or video to your webpage, include the keyword in the Alt text, title text, and caption tag of the image...if it makes sense.
For example, on this webpage, this is how I have done it with the SBI Tool (once again making sure I never forget anything with this tool)
Essentially, any SEO webpage checklist must focus on these items covered above as you are building the webpage. After you have completed inserting and writing everything on your webpage, there are three final steps.
STEP 1: Click on “Preview” to see how your webpage will look live on the internet.
STEP 2: Click “Analyze It” – the tool within the system that will tell you if you have forgotten something to go back and correct.
STEP 3: Click “Build It” and the system will automatically publish the webpage live to the internet. It will also automatically submit that webpage into Google, Yahoo, Bing and other major search engines.
Within a matter of days your webpage should appear in Google and if done well, your webpage will rank on the Top 10 search results making you to start receiving traffic for that web page.
Please note that I wrote, IF DONE WELL, you will rank in the Top 10 search results. Honestly, in this article I basically just touch through the surface on how you should do to get started to rank high on the search engines.
It is actually inside the SBI System with the full suite of business tools it has including the Action Guide that you will see step-by-step what & how you should do to rank your webpages to the top.
